It takes lots of effort, time and patience to achieve the desired result and off course the satisfaction that you can experience when a tree truly starts to take shape is something you have to experience and enjoy along the way. Many people over the years have admired their collection of bonsai but sometimes the bonsai did not grow or looks good in appearance usually due to lack of knowledge on caring for bonsai trees.

You will have to prune and train the tree to acquire the shape. Nature takes time to grow the tree, but you will decide its final appearance. Besides regular trimming to remove dried leafs and damaged branches, you just sit back and let the nature take place. However with a bonsai, from the beginning, you are growing a bonsai with a prescribed "look" in mind.
