Creeper or Climber Plants

Landscaping plants is the main objective that made up of a beautiful garden. The plants that range from scrubs, flowerbed, trees, hedges and creepers. Landscaping a garden shall relies on the plants being utilized and let’s discuss on the creeper plant.
Any plants that creep on the ground and crawl on walls, pergolas, arches, porches, trellises and pillars. Creeping plants develop in a different way from other plant types. These plant  are a part of the plant's natural reproductive phase, an ability that allows them to grow new, independent plants and ability to clones the originating plant. The creeper plant spread out rather than growing up vertically, scattering along the ground and root grows together as they move. Generally, creepers are good ground covers. Below are some examples of creeper plant :

Mandevilla

Bauhinia Kockiana

Madam Jealousy
If you have some plants that are placed near each other, and the one of them is a creepers, then the leafs will certainly overspread after sometime. To overcome this problem, prune them regularly, or you can place them distance from other plants so that they will not clone themselves fast.
One of the things that's quite surprising with these creeper is the speed in which they establish themselves. Some species can clone within a matter of days, which can infest other pots even before you aware of it. If the creeper plant is left alone, few weeks later, the leafs of the creeper may tangled with other plants and you may find that it is difficult  to remove once they have successfully spread.. This becomes a problem if you'd like to separate the plants.

Ficus Pumila

Allamanda

Morning glory
Clitoria Ternatea
Most creeper plants can take on full sunlight and grow to the direction of the sunlight. Clitoria ternatea have a long, slender stem that trails and climbs by winding itself about a support or a mesh wire or other similar structure.

Aquatic plant

Aquatic plants  need plenty of sunlight to grow eg lotus, waterlily, water lalang, water orchid, water canna, water bamboo, etc. Lotus prefer to stay in calm water in order to flower and need to replace fresh water daily otherwise the leaf will not be healthy. Lotus prefer to grow in muddy or soggy condition. The new leaf come out frm the  soil gradually and stay on the water surface before the stem elevate further away frm the water surface. The round leaf grows bigger and taller after a few days and you will find multiple stems in a  pot.

Tiny leaf emerge from the surface

After few days leaf becomes round

Leaf grow broader

Lotus stem shoot up from  surface

Lotus fully grown in pot

Taking care of aquatic plants is more flexible for watering compare soil base plant as long as there is excess water storing on the pot but for soil base plant you need to water the plants at a right timing as delay in watering will cause the plant suffer dehydration. But for aquatic plant, water contain in the pot is enough for the plant consumption between 2-3 days. Besides that, extra precaution need to be taken care of as it provide a breeding ground for mosquitos to lay eggs. We suggest you to monitor it from time to time, you can replace it with fresh water twice a week, or apply abate powder once a month. If you don’t have enough time to replace fresh water this is the ideal way to prevent the mosquito larvae from spreading. Rearing miniature fish in the pot will also help to prevent it.
